I used to think that I’m reaching somewhere
It’s only recently I’ve realised that
I’m actually coming back
I’m returning to
What I always
Was
Am
What
IS
Shut up.
Shut up.
Shut up.

I looked for art in art galleries. I look for art in art colleges. I tried to get to know ‘actual’ artists…I didn’t find art there. I found art in random Turkish restaurants and weird coffee places…sometimes I see art on a tube during rush hour when all the worst and the best about humanity is just shouting at u..I found art in some of my friends who don’t see themselves as artists…I found art in people who do things just for the sake of doing these things. Because they love it. Or because they cannot not do it. As it turned out it’s EVERYWHERE apart from where art industry claims it to be. Because art is more powerful than a little group of elitist defining art for everyone else. Art is just IS.

In your own world you can be as abstract and borderless as you only want to be. But when you encounter other people you have to think, speak, and act categorically. You need to draw boundaries and leave no grey areas unless you are intending to create ambiguity.

What I’ve learnt to understand with time is that awkward is good.
Awkward creates tension.
Tension creates the potential.
No tension.
No potential.
No life.
No art.

“No drug, not even alcohol, causes the fundamental ills of society. If we’re looking for the source of our troubles, we shouldn’t test people for drugs, we should test them for stupidity, ignorance, greed, and love of power.” – P.J. O’Rourke

Zoom in and out

Some people might know u well enough to know what’s best for you. But they might not love you enough to support you through realising these things yourself. And it’s because they have others to love. And those others have others to love. And so on and on and on. If this chain reaction could be zoomed out and looked at from above we’d see that NOBODY is alone. We are ALL in this together.
